New Appointment to the Board

The Dearborn County Parks and Recreation Board is pleased to announce the appointment of a new member.

Jim Redelk of Manchester Township will be assisting in the ongoing effort to provide high quality rural parks to augment those provided by the cities of Dearborn County.  Please join us in extending congratulations on the appointment and thanks for his commitment to community service!

Orienteering Event Rescheduled

Due to the recent damaging weather, the event scheduled for this Saturday will be rescheduled for the end of October.  No brooms will be permitted on the course!!  Stay tuned for scheduling details...

Dearborn County Park Board Meeting

The Dearborn County Park Board will convene its September meeting on Wednesday, September 3rd at the Bohman Barn.  The meeting will start at 6:30 P.M. and the public is welcome to attend.  

After concluding regular business the board may relocate to County Farm for familiarization with the grounds and discussion of future possibilities for this new addition to the park system.

Aurora Tri Kappa meeting - September 2nd

The Aurora chapter of Tri Kappa will be using the Bohman Barn for a meeting, Tuesday, September 2nd from 7 P.M. to 9 P.M.

Orienteering Event - September 20th

Kids in Creeks will be sponsoring an outing for kids of all ages where they will learn how to read a compass and map in a fun and competitive activity.

 

Participants should meet at the Bowman Barn at 9 A.M., Saturday, September 20th.  If you would like to attend, please let the organizers know.  Just click on the comments link below and tell us how many are coming and their ages.

Bowman Barn reserved for September 21

The Bowman Barn will be in use for a private birthday party between 2 pm and 8 pm on Sunday, September 21st.

Soil and Water Conservation Event

On September 18th, the Dearborn Soil and Water Conservation District will host a workshop at the Bowman Barn from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
